Budget plastic and metal options for a clean, unfussy finish. Hollow and solid brass for something with a bit more weight and character. Recess and end bracket fittings to suit any window. Which rod do I need?
Slot top café curtains thread directly onto the rod - no rings needed. An extendable rod in plastic or metal is the simplest option and works well for most domestic windows.
Tape top café curtains need rings on a pole so the curtain can be drawn. A brass pole with matching rings gives the most considered finish - the kind you'd see in a well-dressed kitchen or a boutique hotel room.
Recess fitting - the rod sits inside the window frame, brackets fixed to the inner sides. Gives a neat, recessed look with no hardware visible from outside the frame.
End bracket fitting - the rod extends beyond the window frame on both sides, brackets fixed to the wall or window surround. Allows the curtain to stack back fully when drawn.
