13mm Solid Polished Brass Café Rod

Real brass. Not brass-coated, not brass-effect - a genuine brass tube with a warm, bright polished finish. This is the rod for anyone who wants the hardware to feel as considered as the fabric hanging from it.

At 13mm diameter it's the right weight for a café curtain - substantial enough to hold the fabric properly, slim enough not to dominate the window. The unlacquered finish means it develops a gentle natural patina over time, which suits natural fabrics and aged hardware far better than anything that stays artificially bright. If you'd prefer to keep it polished, a light application of brass polish occasionally will do it.

Supplied in your chosen length. Brass cuts cleanly at home with a junior hacksaw if you need to trim it down - no specialist tools needed, just a steady hand and a few minutes.

A note on longer spans
For rods over 150cm we'd recommend adding a centre support bracket to prevent any bow over time. Support brackets are available separately in the hardware collection.
